Guangdong-made animated film 'Into the Mortal World' nominated for 'Oscars of animation'

On April 23rd (local time, France), the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, often dubbed the "Oscars of animation," unveiled its list of 2025 Official Selection. The Chinese animated film 'Into the Mortal World', produced by WinSing Animation in Guangdong, has been nominated for the Feature Films Competition, the only Chinese animation to make the cut. The film will screen during the festival's June 8th-14th run, showcasing the oriental aesthetics and creative prowess of Chinese animation.

Founded in 1960, the Annecy Festival is known as the "Cannes of animation" and is a global benchmark for the animation industry. With competition awards highly recognized by professionals worldwide, the event also hosts MIFA, a leading international animation fair.

"Into the Mortal World" draws on the classic Chinese folktale "The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl", Fusing traditional mythology with modern visual storytelling to craft an oriental fantasy world that spans ethereal celestial palaces and vibrant scenes of mortal life. Since its release on July 12th, 2024, the film has been screened in over 40 countries and regions, including Singapore and Australia, and has appeared on prestigious international stages such as the Niigata International Animation Film Festival in Japan. It has garnered numerous honors, including a nomination for the Best Animated Feature at the 37th China Golden Rooster Awards and the Gold Award for the Best Animated Feature Film at the 21st China Animation & Comic Competition Golden Dragon Award.

In addition, WinSing Animation will present "Into the Mortal World" and new works in the series at the 78th Cannes International Film Festival and the MIFA fair.

粤产国漫电影《落凡尘》入围“动画界奥斯卡”

4月23日（法国当地时间），素有“动画界奥斯卡”之称的法国昂西国际动画电影节公布2025年入围片单。广东咏声动漫出品的国漫电影《落凡尘》入围长片主竞赛单元，成为该单元唯一入围的中国动画作品，将于6月8日至14日电影节期间展映，展现东方美学与中国动画实力。

昂西国际动画电影节创办于1960年，享有“动画界戛纳”美誉，是全球动画产业风向标，其竞赛单元奖项备受世界动画界重视，且设有全球性专业动画交易市场MIFA。

《落凡尘》取材于中国民间传说《牛郎织女》，将传统神话与现代视觉语言融合，打造出包含缥缈天庭、烟火人间场景的东方奇幻世界。自2024年7月12日上映后，影片已在新加坡、澳大利亚等40个国家和地区院线上映，还亮相日本新潟国际动画电影节等国际舞台，获得第37届中国电影金鸡奖“最佳美术片”提名、第21届中国动漫金龙奖“最佳动画长片”金奖等多项荣誉。

此外，咏声动漫将携《落凡尘》及系列新作亮相第78届法国戛纳国际电影节与MIFA。
